the very condensed version…
My husband William and I were both born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. We dated for a couple of years in the city, then in 1989 my husband came to California for the first time to visit his cousin who was stationed in the Air Force. They had planned to go backpacking and ended up in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. His love for this area, and my love for him, is how our son and daughter became 1st generation West Coasters. We now make our home near the top of fickle hill in Arcata with our children and my Mother, a couple of neighbors, a few dogs, cats, and chickens. My husband is CEO of our local business A-1 Cleaning Service, LLC, and we consider our employees part of our family too.
A friend asked me to host a spa party in 2006 and I loved everything about it. Every product, the spa experience, and the company. I bought the starter kit and even did a few spa parties, consultations, and soon enough I even grew a small team of spa girls. By this time I didn’t have to spend much time at the cleaning business anymore, but our new homestead was a lot of work.
We decided to take on a barn building project that included logging & milling our own wood, right about the time the property hit us with a few surprises. We also became licensed for foster care and was quickly placed with 2 beautiful little girls that lived with us for about a year, but became part of our family forever. Something had to give, and so it was my spa business.
I continued to purchase products from one of my spa girls (who always graciously gave me her discount) but when she had her first child in 2012 she dropped her membership, and I picked it up again. I didn’t even think about doing the spa business right away, but of course when I went to the BeautiYou training class, my old dream resurfaced.
Since then I have been working my spa business again. I had forgotten how much I love to share everything this company has to offer. From the spa experience, to the products, the sisterhood, the company. In fact, the more I peel back the layers of BeautiControl, and the deeper I go in, the more passionate I become about all of it.
