I live in a small town (ARCATA, CA) that is huge on supporting local businesses. Well actually, Humboldt County is a bunch of small towns that together combines over 250,000 people collectively. Growing up in Chicago, that’s relatively small. As much as my family can afford, I take pride in purchasing as many goods and services I can from the locals. I prefer to buy produce and meat from our local farmers and ranchers, get our building supplies up from the local hardware stores, and as an added benefit of living anywhere, dine at our local good eats.
That said, I am not opposed to shopping at Costco, Walmart, Kmart, or CVS when I need to. Who doesn’t love the best deal? There aren’t many companies I would begrudge for being successful. The way I see most of these companies, they are only successful because they meet supply, demand, and above all else good customer service. My local business A-1 Cleaning Service LLC employs 25-30 steady job positions monthly on a regular basis. Customer satisfaction is our #1 goal. So as a local business owner, I definitely appreciate when my local people choose us.
When I find a company that values their reputation, supports good causes, and strives to make me happy as a customer, I actually feel good about supporting that brand. But when an employee or company is openly annoyed at me and frustrates me with their service, it is likely that I will never return again, if possible. I have dealt with many different companies and businesses in all my years as a consumer, and there is nothing like doing business with a great company.
BeautiControl is local to the people of Carrollton Texas, but their generosity reaches far beyond its local perimeter. Since the beginning of BeautiControl’s charity the W.H.O. (women helping others) foundation they have donated over 5 million dollars through different consultants like me, who are passionate about their charities. This year they are projected to give approximately $600,000 to various organizations. Some of the organizations I personally saw BeautiControl donate to through the W.H.O. foundation this year when I went to the annual Celebration in Texas was Make a Wish foundation, the AIRS foundation, Glamour Girls, and a few other faith based charities. If you’re interested, check out the W.H.O.’s who we help page that lists a few of 2013’s grants and list of charities.
It’s completely correct when they say that BeautiControl changes lives, and it happens in more ways than one. The very first way it changes for any woman is usually the result of her first BeautiControl product. Just knowing that the entire product line is so powerful is reason enough to hold the #1 Premium Spa Brand in America title, but add to that the fact that BeautiControl supports women (and men) entrepreneurs, and families in need is even better.
So if you were to purchase all your skin care needs and make up from the BeautiControl, not only would your skin look and feel beautiful, you would be contributing to causes far beyond yourself. You are helping to support a local business person who is invested financially, and passionately into the company, and you are also supporting a great company that gives generously to people in need all over.
BeautiControl has been owned by Tupperware Brands since 2000. It is said to be the “crown jewel” of all of Tupperware Brands. You might be surprised to know that Tupperware Brands owns 5 other skin care companies globally. After attending the annual BeautiControl Celebration this past July in Texas, I can only imagine what a difference many of the consultants’ lives are like in South Africa, Thailand, Mexico and South America, all from the opportunities and benefits that Tupperware companies, and hard work contribute to. I carpooled down (in my Director Llana Cassady’s new GMC Acadia, courtesy of BeautiControl) with 9 other team consultants from Redding Ca down to Sacramento, and flew to Texas. I saw firsthand how different the lives of my own fellow Americans were. Apart from just earning an income, many found confidence they didn’t know they had and put it to use, have earned cars and trips, all while receiving recognition and generosity from the company that helped them acheive it all in the first place! As I listened to the President of Tupperware Brands talk about how excited they are to have our dear President Nikola (whom they stole from their Australian company Nutrimetics) and how they have given him the freedom to change everything from hostess benefits, kit choices, new make-up, new interface, new training, new rewards, new leadership tools, I’ve never been more excited to be part of such a great company. After all, in my little world and our cleaning business, I know exactly what it is like to “go it alone.” And I realized right there and then that this new branding is a total game-changer; for me, and anyone else who wants this journey. I can really appreciate all the support, rewards, and opportunities that BeautiControl gives. All for helping people get their hands on some really great products.
Considering all the skin care companies that Tuppwerware Brands owns globally, with all the years of experience combined, and access to the finest ingredients in the world, I’d say there isn’t a company around that I would trust more when it comes to skin care or make up. Could there really be more of an authority on skin care than this collective? See more about BeautiControl.
